Phoenicia

Hotel Phoenicia stands at the entrance to Malta’s baroque capital, the World Heritage city of Valletta and is itself a landmark of the city.  It is ideal for those who prefer to relax in a refined atmosphere of classic and contemporary elegance and to explore some of Malta’s key cultural sights during their recuperation following surgery.

The hotel offers easy, level walking into the capital, with its maze of streets, baroque palaces, museums, cafés, 18th century theatre and myriad other culture sights.  Valletta is the islands’ main administrative and commercial hub, but it retains still a charming and friendly atmosphere.  The hotel’s proximity to Malta’s main bus terminus provides easy low-cost access to other sites around Malta.

The hotel has impressive views from upper rooms over the harbours either side of the Valletta peninsula.  It is set in seven acres of mature gardens that date back to the Phoenicia’s origins as a colonial-style hotel.  The gardens include a heated outdoor pool surrounded by 16th century bastions and views of the harbour.

The hotel has a choice of dining options from fine dining to its more casual brasserie and coffee shop.  The colonial-styled Club Bar is a favourite for evening drinks.
